| dc.description.abstracteng | Problem statement: The theory of humanized care emphasizes the importance of a therapeutic bond focused on compassion and empathy, viewing the patient as a whole being, which fosters a care environment that enhances personal worth. Objective: To determine the relationship between training and the humanization of care in the emergency department of public hospitals. Methodology: A quantitative, descriptive, and correlational study was conducted to analyze the relationship between training and humanization in the emergency department. The study was carried out through the application of a questionnaire adapted from proven tools (ECCOE and qCT). Results: Educational initiatives, such as presentations and instruction, significantly increase affinity and skill in personalizing communication, deference, and emotional support for patients. Furthermore, workers with more years of service and adequate working hours express more positive opinions. The resource used demonstrated remarkable reliability (α=0.968). Significant differences in the perception of emotional support were also identified by gender. Conclusion: Continuing staff training is essential to promote more humane care, improve quality of care, and increase patient satisfaction in complex hospital settings. | |
